Tools
The following is a list of some common tools used when practicing the Wiccan Religion. You may use some or none of these depending on your style of worship and your financial situation. There are some ways of finding and obtaining inexpensive tools. Go to flea markets and junk shops as well as antique stores. You can also make some of the items to fit your style.
Athame: A double edged knife used in the circle to direct energy or open a doorway in the circle.
Bell: Some covens use the bell in ritual it start and end each ritual. Can also be used to invoke the Goddess and invite positive energy.
Boline: A white handled knife used in cutting herbs and other ritual items.
Besom (broom): Used to sweep away any negativity in the ritual space.
Candle: Various colors are lit and used during ritual or spell work.
Cauldron: Used for scrying or ritual burning such as a small fire.
Censer: Used to burn incense in for ritual and spellwork.
Chalice: Used during the Great Rite or cakes and wine. Can also be filled with water and placed on the altar to represent water.
Diving Tools: Used to seek advice or wisdom. Such tools are Tarot, Runes, Black Mirror, Crystal Ball, etc.
Herbs: Used for medicinal or ritual purpose. Can find them anywhere, and easy enough to grow.
Incense: Used to purify space, spells, ritual, etc.
Oils: Used to dress and anoint candles as well as in medicinal.
Pentacle: A disk with a 5 pointed star. This is a symbol of the craft and used to represent the elements.
Stones: Precious and semi precious stones are used in magickal workings and on the altar to represent the elements or the Goddess and God.
Sword: Used by some covens in place of the Athame.
Wand: Used to direct energy.
Book Of Shadows: A solitary or coven book full of data and spells that they have collected and used over the years. I like to think of it as a diary or a work book to help aid in my worship of the Goddess and God. Best way is to hand write all of your spells and information as this helps to retain the info mentally.

Altar Cloth: Separate ones for the holidays and for ritual work.
Amulets: Used in protection and worn or carried.
Beads: Used for making jewelry or other craft tools.
Bowls: Placed on the altar and used to hold water and other such ritual elements.
Robe: Worn during ritual.
Music: Used to aid in relaxation or ritual work.
